Jay and I have been receiving a number of complaints about the pace of play. Here are some pace of play guidelines.

Groups should focus on playing each hole in under or at 15 minutes.

15 minutes per hole =4 hours 30 minute round of golf ” Off the course @ noon”

keep up with the group in front of you at all times

If there is a hole open in front of your group

First Notification-GRGC Staff will alert you to the problem and ask your group to speed up and catch up

Second Notification-GRGC Staff will ask each member of the group to pick up and head to next hole

Pace of Play Tips:

Keep an eye on your ball and everyone else’s ball in the group

Limit ball searches to 3 minutes This is USGA rule

Be prepared to putt when it is your turn and finish out as opposed to marking your ball and waiting for for others to putt

We want all our players to enjoy playing golf and pace of play plays a big role . Keep up with the group in front of you.Enjoy

Thanks to Erik Hall and Steven Kengeter for those beautiful words about Rich Ritchie.

Some of you stll owe for our mandatory hole in one fee. The fee is $5.

Rich Richie

Word are too limiting when trying to tribute a person that meant so much to so many.  Rich has been with the Lacey Golf Assoc. for a very long time.  He didn’t hesitate when needed to step up to do the accounting for the group.  Rich was a trustworthy, honest man who was a perfect fit for the position.  If you have ever brought your car to his garage (Lacey Auto care) you would know the thoroughness and honesty that Rich possessed.  He was a hard working man with a passion for family, boating and golf.  He spent his last weekend embracing all of those things. 3EABF91D-EBF5-4E00-82F1-13D1C820F724

Those of us fortunate enough to share a round of golf with Rich will miss the passion and competitive nature he possessed.  Those who went to his place of business will certainly miss his ability to explain the issues with your vehicle and the completeness of the work done.  Rich had just got a boat and spent the later part of Sunday on the boat after golfing in the morning.  It was a beautiful day and Im sure Rich would not have wanted it any other way.

Please keep Rich and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

We had five rounds in the 70’s. Bob Reilly and Ray Dibenedetti were on top of the leaderboard with 76. They were followed by

Troy Nikola 78

Haddie Lee 79

I am impressed with our members having round after round in the 70’s Keep it up.
