2021 Season Up and Coming

It is not a golf day in NJ this morning. Go away rain. Good news we are having our sign up breakfast on Thursday,March 25 begining at 9AM. This will be under the tent at GRGC. You are invited to come out and enjoy a country breakfast. You can play golf after the meeting. More information will follow on the golf in a later email.

Mark this date on your calendar and attend the breakfast and play golf.

Our weekly cost remain at $40.00 per week.The sign up fee for our existing members is $110.00. This includes your first and last round of the 2021 season and the GHIN system

The cost for our new members is $115.00. This includes $5.00 for our mandatory hole in one fee.

We prefer checks but will accept your cash. No credit cards. Make check payable to LACEY GOLF ASSOCIATION.

Goodbye to a long time friend

It is with regret we inform you that Paul Pearsall has passed. Paul was a long time member of LGA. This past season Paul arrived at the golf course on Thursday mornings with a smile and played in our events. Paul knew his time was short and we were so impressed with the courage and dignity he showed in dealing with the cards he had been dealt.

Paul was our 50-50-person at one time and was also a Match Play Champion in 2018. He will always be in our minds as I think of the courage he showed in dealing with the cancer that was going to take his life.

Our prayers are with him and his family. There will be a visitation Sunday from 2-5 at:

10-10 Finale

Good Morning and greetings from Virginia. I plan to be in Virginia until 11-9. Spending time with my Sister,3 Aunts and many cousins. Also some old golfing buddies are in the picture.

Cappy and I thank you very much for your gift on Thursday. You are the best.

I am still having a hard time believing the weather the golf God gave us on Thursday. It was fantastic.

Our main event on Thursday was Mystery Teams. Go to our portal and find your name and your mystery team. Are you a winner? Prizes will be awarded on 11-21.

We had 7 Skins on Thursday. Did your birdie hold up? We had birdie winners on 2 of the 3 par 5.

Haddie Lee was on top of the gross leaderboard with a 3 over par 74.On his heels was:

These players have been in the 70’s all season. Are you on that team?

Pete Covino was on top of the net Leader Board with 11 under par 60. Were you on Pete’s team?

The scoring for the team event was the average score of all 4 scores on each hole.Example if all 4 players made a 4 on hole 1 the average score was a 4.

This was a handicap event . It was 80% handicap event.

We thank you for your participation in the LGA. We hope you plan to return for the 2020 season. It will be our 27th year. Ask a friend to join us.

No change in the weekly fee for our 2020 season. It will be $40.00.

Our winter meeting is Thursday,November 21 2019. We will serve breakfast at 9. Golf later if the weather permits.

9-12 What A day!!!!

It was a beautiful day for golf. Yet 36 of our members were not there to enjoy a round of golf. Six of the 36 were no shows. A no show is a player who does not bother to let us know he will not be playing.This is our attendance policy. When you join the LGA we assume you will play every week.If you are not playing it is your responsibilty to let us know. Long range forecast has this Thursday looking good. Hope you are playing.

9-5 Dorian Storm avoided

Dorian has passed and we are going to have a very nice weekend along the Jersey Shore. Hope you enjoy.Our prayers are with the people in the Bahamas.

We have four weeks remaining in our 2019 season. The 2019 season will end on October 3 with a round of golf and a lunch for our 2019 champions. Mark your calendar now.

Our winter meeting will be Thursday,November 21. Mark your calendar now and plan to attend this event as we prepare for our 2020 season.

Our attendance is very low. We have had one week since May 30 with 100 players, We have a number of players with health issues and we wish you the best in dealing with those issues.About a third of our membership is out every week.We still have some members who are no shows. Just do not take the time to let Jay know they are not playing. I will never understand.

Low attendance will impact our prize money and food budget. Good we have a 50-50. Keep on playing and some of you who do not play please start playing.

Aug 22 Semi finals

WOW! A 24 hole match to decide our final eight for our 2019 Championship. Yes, Mike Ziobro and Bob Ragusa went 15 holes to decide thier match. Mike Ziobro ended this match on the 15th hole.Congratulations to Mike and Bob for a great match.
